Description   Rating: 91 Points (CellarTracker) WineMaker's Notes: Aprile Super Oakville Blend is our interpretation of the great Super Tuscans and Brunellos and displays a commitment to varietal integrity rarely seen in California Sangiovese. The farming of world-class Sangiovese is difficult and mandates a passion and attention to detail reserved only for the most committed winegrowers. We have dedicated ourselves to this challenge from day one. We blend a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon to add a bit of weight on the palate, but our goal with each vintage is for the pure essence of the Sangiovese grape to shine. The aging potential is something we are only just beginning to understand, but we can comfortably say 10 plus years.
