1960 Kopke Porto 375 ml
|
|

Community Notes:
"Beautiful and round sweetness, with still the
characteristics of a Vintage, but also showing caramel and coffee candy. Silky
soft tannin and a very smooth mouth feel. Not extremely intense, but certainly
lovely and tempting and with great finesse."

1965 Kopke Colheita Porto 375 ml
|
|

Rating: 95 Points (Wine Advocate) "Kopke
Port is the oldest port house. Established in 1638 by Christiano Kopke and his
son, Nicolau Kopke who came to Portugal as representatives of the Hanseatic
League, the House of Kopke is the eldest Porto wine export firm. Lively
amber colour. Aroma of great impact, with dried fruits and liqueur. Wonderful
balance, good structure and softness. The freshness seduces and involves the
senses. Elegant and endless finish." - Winemaker

1966 Burmester Colheita Porto 750 ml
|
|

Review: Tom Cannavan
(Wine.pages.com) 2015
"Lovely
dark caramel colour, with some truffle and tea notes, edges of olive and green
fruits (fig). The maturity on the palate is obvious, again with fabulous
sweetness and brown sugar richness, Muscovado and walnuts, but the hallmark of
the fresh orange and lemon acidity plays against that and the coffee and walnut
cake sweetness and richness."

1970 Fonseca's Finest Vintage Port, 750ml
|
|

Rating: 99 Points (Wine Advocate) "It is pure essence of Fonseca, filled with spicy notes of
incense, licorice, and caramelized red and black fruits, with an intoxicating,
extraordinarily ostentatious, but perfectly balanced, pure style. This is as
good as vintage port can be..."

1974 Guimaraens Reserve Vintage Porto 750ml

Product Description: "A lighter style of Guimaraens is on show here; strawberries and raspberries have now been joined by apricots, woodsmoke and traces of mint and herbs. Subtle and yet persistent, this is an increasingly savoury treat."

1977 Croft Vintage Port 750ml
|
|

“An undoubtedly splendid vintage, the 1977 Vintage Ports combine
power, elegance and refinement with the ability to live long, impressive
lives. The best, and the Croft 1977 can count itself among that number,
have much more to give although they are, finally!, ready to enjoy. An
early maturer, the Coft 1977 retains immense character and staying power.
Tawny at the rim, the fragrant bouquet is followed by chocolate-tinted red and
black stewed fruits, herbs and a sweet, spicy finish.”
Michael Broadbent – Master of Wine, British Wine Critic
