2012 Shafer "Relentless" Syrah 750 ml
Our Price: $119.99

Rating: 94 Points (Wine Advocate)

“The 2012 Syrah Relentless, which has not yet been bottled, is a blend of 89% Syrah and 11% Petite Sirah. In keeping with this amazing year, it’s full-bodied, juicy, succulent, flamboyant, with blueberry and blackberry fruit galore, lots of glycerin and a massive mouthfeel, but no heaviness or astringency characterize this stunning wine. This should turn out to be a great, great Rhone Ranger when released in a year or so.” (Oct. 2014)

“This big red brims with dark, rich, chunky blackberry and wild berry fruit, with notes of black licorice that edge toward prune. Maintaining a fine balance for its size, this is extracted, with firm, chewy, peppery tannins. Syrah and Petite Sirah. Best from 2015 through 2028.

Cayuse Vineyards:

Currently, Cayuse farms five vineyards spread over 60 acres in the Walla Walla Valley. All are planted in the stony soil that first caught Christophe’s attention in 1996, resulting in highly stressed vineyards that average a yield of only two tons per acre. Syrah is the dominant fruit, with Cabernet-Franc, Cabernet-Sauvignon, Grenache, Merlot, Tempranillo and Viognier making up the balance. All Cayuse wines are from estate fruit, and Christophe believes their true fingerprints are in the minerality. “The point is to create an honest wine that has an identity,” he says. “You want to taste the place.” As a result, each of his creations is true to the unique terroir of his vineyards."

2016 Cayuse "Cailloux Vineyard" Syrah, Walla Walla Valley 750ml
Our Price: $149.99

Rating: 95-97 Points (Jeb Dunnuck)

“The 2016 Syrah En Chamberlin Vineyard offers more tertiary notes of smoked plums, iron, shiitake mushrooms, forest floor, and peppery herbs. It’s concentrated, full-bodied, and balanced, with a big mid-palate, yet it glides across the palate with an almost Burgundian silkiness. This is a classic En Chamberlin that has all the Rocks funkiness and complexity, yet a beautiful elegance on the palate.”

2016 Horsepower Syrah, The Tribe Vineyards, Walla Walla Valley750 ml
Our Price: $229.99

Rating: 96 Points (James Suckling)

“This has such impressive, silky black fruit with interwoven spices and subtle, meaty nuances. The intensity of fruit is dialed-up in this wine. There’s a very pure, bright fruit core here that pushes out of the mid-palate with a lot of energy and stony, graphite-like notes. This has a wealth of dark berries on offer. Such length and balance. Planted at 8,500 vines per hectare. Drink or hold. Best from 2022.” (July 2019)
