“This is really quite lovely as it offers up a classic nose of plums cherries fresh herb tones coffee complex soil tones and just a touch of new oak. On the palate the wine is deep fullish and beautifully delineated with a solid core of fruit lovely intensity of flavor moderate tannins and very fine acidity adding bounce and precision on the impressively long finish. A classic vintage and a really very stylish Pomerol that should offer up outstanding value in this vintage. The label states 13.5 percent alcohol for the 2008 but it tastes a tad cooler than that and really shows lovely shape and bounce.”
